Loan-guarantee fund of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton is currently one of the most favourable opportunity for securing the funds necessary for financing business activities. Loan funds are implemented through the Investment Commercial Bank DD Zenica and are intended for existing small and medium-sized companies and companies which intend to start manufacturing activity or providing services in the area of Zenica-Doboj Canton.

Resources of the Loan-guarantee Fund can be used to purchase machinery, equipment, parts and tools, technological improvement of production processes, procurement of equipment for the newly established companies, or to have working capital of up to 25% of the approved loan. Priority in allocation of loan funds has production activities, oriented towards exports or to replace imports, environmental protection activities and activities that enable creation of new jobs.

Loans amounting to 100,000 KM are approved for the period of 5 years with the possibility of using the grace period up to two years. What makes Loan-guarantee Fund especially attractive are the simple procedure of submission and implementation of loan application, standard means of insurance and certainly favourable interest rate that is 6montsEuribor +2.5%. After comparing it to last six-month EURIBOR interest rate is now only 3.5 %.

Loan guarantee Fund is in the second year of its implementation and several loans to small and medium business companies from the area of Zenica-Doboj Canton have been implemented. Public call for the use of these funds remain open until end of 2009, and in accordance with it Business Service Center invites companies from the area of Zenica-Doboj Canton to realize their manufacturing and services investments in whole or in part through this fund. Applications for loans are submitted to a Investment- commercial bank DD Zenica, Trg BiH 1, Zenica.
